Military Appreciation Day on Saturday at Wrightsville Beach
Wrightsville Beach, NC – On Saturday October 16, a group of military men, women, and their children, are spending a day at Wrightsville Beach during Military Appreciation Day, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Marine Quest Program, IndoJax Surf School and Ocean Cure are co-sponsoring this free event for families of four, with kids ages 10 to 17.
The action begins at UNCW’s Center for Marine Studies aboard the 68-foot research vesselCape Fear for three hours of morning and afternoon trips at sea with MarineQuest staff.
Lunch will be served.
Additionally, families will group at Mallard Street Public Beach Access No. 10 on the north end of Wrightsville Beach for morning and afternoon sessions of wave-riding and surf instruction provided by IndoJax Surf Camp and Ocean Cure.
The public is invited to drop by and show your appreciation at Beach Access No. 10!
